Autodromo Releases Special Edition Lime Rock Park Watch, the Official Watch of Historic Festival 42

LAKEVILLE, CONN. (22 August 2024)– Lime Rock Park is thrilled to announce the continuation of its partnership with Autodromo, the renowned maker of automotive-inspired watches, as the Official Watch of Historic Festival 42. Returning for its third year, this collaboration underscores the shared commitment to precision, heritage and passion for motorsports that both Lime Rock Park and Autodromo embody. This year, the partnership is marked by the introduction of a limited-edition timepiece designed specifically for the festival, adding a new chapter to the ongoing collaboration.

The Prototipo Chronograph Special Edition is limited to just 125 pieces, each meticulously crafted to celebrate Autodromo’s ongoing partnership with Lime Rock Park. The watch features a striking brushed metallic gray dial, aptly named “Litchfield Mist,” with a vintage-inspired brown leather band and incorporates several Lime Rock-specific details:

• Tachymeter Scale: Specially calibrated to the exact length of Lime Rock Park’s circuit, allowing you to calculate average lap speeds with ease.
• Lap Time Highlight: The upper half of the dial prominently marks the seconds from 0:45 to 1:15, corresponding to the majority of lap times seen at Lime Rock, while the lower half features a subtle outline of the track.
• Race Engine Reminder: The AM/PM indicator subdial at 6 o’clock marks 18H00 (6 PM) in red—a reminder to cut off those race engines right on time, a nod to Lime Rock Park’s distinctive schedule.

Autodromo will once again furnish watches as prizes to various Historic Festival participants.

During Sunday in The Park, the Best in Show d’Elegance, Best in Show Sport and Autodromo Award winners will receive the Prototipo Chronograph Special Edition, with a custom strap unique to the winners.

The first nine races on Monday will be dubbed the “Autodromo Sprints” with select participants from each group who embody the spirit of the event receiving the Prototipo Chronograph Special Edition during a special recognition ceremony held on the front straight at lunch.

Autodromo was founded by avid vintage racer and lifelong car lover Bradley Price. Price’s background in product design and passion for vintage cars led him to design watches inspired by dashboard gauges and classic racing chronographs. After more than a decade in business, Autodromo has become the go-to brand for affordable, high quality motoring watches and driving gloves.

Lime Rock Historic Festival 42 launches into action over Labor Day weekend with a 17-mile tour through the area on Thurs., Aug. 29 with the Historic Festival Parade presented by NBT Bank. Friday, Saturday and Monday feature non-stop, on-track competition across a diverse set of historic racing classes. On Sunday (Sept. 1), the Lime Rock Concours and Gathering of the Marques will display nearly 1,000 enthusiast cars and motorcycles arranged around the Lime Rock circuit for Sunday in The Park.
