Acura Meyer Shank Racing Announces 2025 IMSA Endurance Lineup

Felix Rosenqvist, Scott Dixon and Alex Palou Will Join Acura MSR’s IMSA Endurance and Rolex 24 Hour Lineup

Pataskala, Ohio (14 November 2024) – With the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season opener just two months away, Acura Meyer Shank Racing (“Acura MSR”) is excited to welcome Felix Rosenqvist, Scott Dixon and Alex Palou to its Endurance and Rolex 24 roster.

Four-time Rolex 24 winner Dixon and MSR INDYCAR driver Rosenqvist will complete the roster for the No. 60 Acura MSR Acura ARX-06. The pair will join 2023 Rolex 24 winners, and full-season Acura MSR drivers Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun. Rosenqvist will take on Rolex 24 Hour duties in the Acura while Dixon will join Acura MSR for the full endurance schedule.

Coming off of back-to-back NTT INDYCAR SERIES championships, Palou will serve as endurance driver of the No. 93 Acura MSR Acura ARX-06 and pair up with full-season drivers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly.

The lineup delivers both experience and pace, with the current Acura MSR lineup of drivers having a combined 11 Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona victories, 11 IMSA GTP class wins and 17 IMSA GTP podium finishes since 2023.

Dixon has been competing in sportscar endurance competition for 25 years and rounded out the 2024 season and his 50th sportscar race with an overall win last month at the Motul Petit Le Mans, co-driving with Acura MSR’s van der Zande.

A familiar face to the MSR family, Rosenqvist will join Acura MSR at Daytona, marking his fourth entry into the historic twice-round-the-clock event as he targets adding a first Rolex 24 victory to his racing resume.

Palou has had a whirlwind few months after clinching his second straight INDYCAR championship, and third title in the last four years, and will look to kick off the 2025 racing season with that same momentum as he joins the No. 93 Acura MSR squad. Palou has two Rolex 24 Hour entries under his belt and looks to improve on his previous 7th and 10th place finishes.

The Acura Meyer Shank Racing squad will head to its first official test at Daytona International Speedway this weekend (November 15-17) to prepare for the Rolex 24. Acura MSR will announce its final addition to the No. 93 Acura MSR lineup for the Rolex 24 in the coming weeks.

Acura Meyer Shank Racing Quotes:

Mike Shank (co-owner, Acura Meyer Shank Racing): “It’s really great to see how our IMSA lineup has come together and I think we have some really talented drivers with us this year. Of course it just made sense for Felix to join us at the 24. He’s really proved himself on the INDYCAR side of things and I think he can be a big asset to us in IMSA. It’s a no-brainer that Scott (Dixon) knows what he’s doing in the IMSA endurance events and it’s really cool to finally have him come onboard after all these years. Alex (Palou) is another one who knows what it takes in the GTP category and of course he’s coming off of a big high in INDYCAR. I’m excited to see where we shake out in the test this weekend; I think we’re all ready to get going.”

David Salters (president, Honda Racing Corporation USA): “Including IndyCar winners and champions; Rolex 24 and Le Mans veterans, this is an outstanding lineup put together by HRC and Acura Meyer Shank Racing for our Acura ARX-06s in IMSA’s Michelin Endurance Cup program for 2025. Along with our four full-season drivers, this is a lineup of proven champions and winners all. Everyone at HRC US is excited for the start of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the new challenges it will present for the men and women at both MSR and HRC. Bring on 2025, we can’t wait!

Felix Rosenqvist: “It’s a dream come true for me to race at the Rolex and in the top category. It’s a very natural fit as I’m racing for the same team and manufacture as my ‘daytime job,’ and I know all my teammates really well. It’s a big project and I’m doing my best to be as prepared as possible! I’m looking forward to getting going in January!”

Scott Dixon: “I’m really looking forward to running the Rolex this year. I have almost joined Meyer Shank Racing and Mike a couple times in the past, but it didn’t work out. I’m really excited to join Acura MSR and their partnership with HRC makes it easier, there are a lot of familiar faces and people that I have worked with over the years. That’s also true on the Meyer Shank side as well with a lot of people who I have worked with earlier in my career. A lot of familiar faces on the driver side too with Felix (Rosenqvist), Tom (Blomqvist), Colin (Braun) and obviously I was teammates last year with Renger, so I’m really looking forward to that side of it.

“Goal number one is just to win and hopefully we can do that out of the gate at Daytona. It’s a fun race and I love doing the endurance races. I’m just really excited to get going and from what I’ve seen so far it’s quite the outfit and excited with what Acura has done.”

Alex Palou: “I’m super excited about the opportunity to join Acura MSR and HRC for the IMSA endurance races next year. It will be pretty cool to work with some of the drivers that I know very well and to see what we can do at the Rolex in January. I have to thank Mike and HRC for this opportunity and I’m ready to get going in Daytona!”
