Eyeing increased involvement beyond the Month of May
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 16, 2025) – For the 350,000+ fans throughout the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the millions watching on television, the Indianapolis 500 is an annual event, filled with pageantry, tradition – and the most intense racing in the world.
And for hundreds of teams and corporations, the Indy 500 and its surrounding festivities offer the opportunity to entertain clients and employees while creating and maintaining important business relationships – one of the many vital aspects of the largest single day sporting event on the planet.
In just five short years, Cusick Motorsports has established itself as a leader in business hospitality, entertaining its small cadre of partners and sponsors throughout Indy’s two weeks of practice and qualifying, culminating in the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500. Friends and colleagues come from across the country to attend the race activities, enjoying unparalleled access to the race cars and to drivers Jack Harvey and Ryan Hunter-Reay (who won the Indy 500 in 2014 and led the second most laps in this year’s race).
Don Cusick, who founded Infab, the world’s largest provider of radiation protection apparel and equipment for healthcare professionals, began the program when he first sponsored a car in the 2021 Indy 500. Entering a partnership with Indianapolis-based Dreyer & Reinbold Racing in 2023, Cusick has brought management, employees and clients from over 20 different companies to the race.
“All of our partners get to see Indy from the ground up,” said Cusick. “They come out, we drive them around this huge facility – they even get to drive down pit lane before cars are on track! They’re excited, and we’re excited to have them here. It’s like a dream – it’s our fifth year doing this and it feels like our first. There’s really nothing like it.”
Los Angeles-based LOHLA SPORT was the first company to come on board in 2021, and CEO/Founder Lisa O’Hurley immediately saw the benefits of the collaboration.
“The Indy 500 partnership with Cusick Motorsports was the highlight of our year,” said O’Hurley. “As a brand anchored in sport, but not motor racing, we flourished with a newfound customer base who is passionate and sports minded. In our own industry, golf being part of the Indy 500 (four holes of the famed Brickyard Crossing golf course are inside IMS) increased our ‘cool factor’ exponentially leading to customer excitement, anticipation and interaction.”
In addition to the nonstop action on track, Cusick Motorsports partners enjoy private pit lane and garage tours, INDYCAR two-seater rides on the 2.5-mile oval, the annual AES 500 Festival Parade in downtown, Indianapolis, private shuttles to and from the racetrack, and a prime viewing spot in the luxury pit lane suite.
The 2025 Cusick Motorsports partners represent the wide variety of companies that consider motorsports to be a perfect vehicle for their corporate hospitality. Branded Bills (a unique headwear and apparel company), Mach10 Automotive (providing dealership owners with a trusted and experienced partner to navigate complex business transitions), and Mannkind (developing therapeutic products and devices to help people manage serious medical conditions). The team also supports Elite INDYCAR, an INDYCAR fan page.
2025 marked the first Indy 500 for Mach10 president and CEO George Pero – but his first time will definitely not be his last.
“The last two weeks have been absolutely incredible,” said Pero. “We came out for qualifying to support both Ryan (Hunter-Reay) and Jack (Harvey) and it was an amazing experience. There is no other place on Earth like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and no experience like race day at the Indy 500. The fans, the energy, the vibe is like nothing I’ve experienced before.”
Cusick and team marketing director Billy Morgan work year-round to support their team partners, with team members preparing plans to give them an outstanding experience from start to finish.
“We’re proud of the effort we put into this each year,” said Morgan. “This is our fifth year at the Indy 500 and every year, we see partners get involved and want to be a part of this incredible sport. That’s our job – to get them excited and keep them coming back. We are already working on our 2026 plan and are also building a program around some future events here in 2025 as we want to grow our engagement in INDYCAR beyond just the month of May.”
