(Tooele, UT) 20 May, 2009—After having an all-too-short race weekend at VIR when he was crashed out of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear race on the very first lap, Rusty Mitchell was just looking to get a clean start to the race this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park.

After qualifying on the tenth row, Mitchell did exactly that as he made the most of the race start to move up to 11th just three laps into the race, which was the young Texans very first on the Salt Lake City-area facility. But that strong start was dealt a big setback as the tight racing saw Mitchell take evasive action to avoid another spinning car, sending him back to 26th in the order.

(23 May 2009) Lakeville, CT—Matt Bell and Bill Auberlen combined to score a strong third place finish for Turner Motorsport in Monday’s Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge race at Lime Rock Park with the No. 96 H&R Springs/StopTech Brakes BMW M3.


Bell started the race from second on the grid, but lost a pair of positions at the green flag before moving back up to take them back. With a tight field of GS racers, the action was intense up front, but that didn’t help Bell as he was knocked off course and forced back to 14th in the order in the early going. But the young racer didn’t panic and just went back to work, putting his previous Lime Rock Park experience to use and moving up the order to retake the lead some 46 laps into the race.

Lakeville, CT (25 May 2009)—The checkered flag on Saturday’s Lime Rock Park 250 signaled the end of one race for Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood, but it also marked the start of another race as the two jumped into their street cars and made their way up north to New Hampshire Motor Speedway to race in an SCCA double-regional race weekend.
