(29 June 2019) \u2013 Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) driver Trent Hindman posted a 1:44.978-second lap to put the No. 86 <a href=\"http:\/\/autonation.com\">AutoNation<\/a> \/ Curb Records Acura NSX GT3 on the Sahlen\u2019s Six Hours of the Glen pole for Sunday\u2019s endurance event.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hindman has been on a roll since moving to a full time role with MSR in 2019, with Saturday\u2019s pole result marking his second of the season (Sebring-March, 2019)\u00a0 as he continues to raise his game for the ultra competitive GTD class.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Meyer Shank Racing crew worked hard all weekend long to lock in a solid set up as unpredictable weather greeted the team ahead of Saturday\u2019s qualifying.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>But after a rainy morning practice, it was bright blue skies and sun that brought out the best in the Acura for Hindman to set his fastest time on Lap 6. The time edged his fellow MSR pilot Christina Nielsen, who will start second as MSR looks to continue its strong run of results at the upstate New York track.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI was pushing hard during those qualifying laps.\u201d said Hindman \u201cI was pushing everything the Acura NSX GT3 had. We had a lot of unknowns after practice this morning due to the weather. We even made some gambles on the car set up last night which we wanted to try out but didn\u2019t have the opportunity to before qualifying. As always, the Meyer Shank Racing crew pulled through and gave me an amazing car. It is excellent to secure the 1-2 starting spots for this team. As competitive as the GTD category is, qualifying holds 100% importance. It will feel great to get the Acura out into clean air tomorrow for the race. I am beyond grateful to be a part of this crew and secure the pole position!\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"yj6qo ajU\">\n<div>\u201cI am so incredibly proud of Trent,\u201d said Mike Shank. \u201cHe has continued to impress me this season and you can really see his growth.
