{"id":1811,"date":"2019-11-27T19:43:15","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T19:43:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/?p=1811"},"modified":"2019-11-27T19:47:31","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T19:47:31","slug":"negri-fourth-in-alms-opener-in-shanghai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/index.php\/2019\/11\/27\/negri-fourth-in-alms-opener-in-shanghai\/","title":{"rendered":"Negri Fourth in ALMS Opener in Shanghai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SHANGHAI, China (26 November 2019) \u2013 Ozz Negri scored a fourth-place finish in Sunday\u2019s Four Hours of Shanghai, the opening round of the 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) campaign.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_1189.mov\">Video: One lap with Ozz<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian veteran joined Alessandro Pier Guidi and Francesco Piovanetti in the No. 51 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GT3, competing in the GT class as the trio opened its second ALMS program together following their 2018-19 campaign.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Negri\u2019s Ferrari started on the outside of the front row for the four hour race. Despite losing ground following an extra stop in pit lane, the Spirit of Race squad raced hard to make up the lost ground and the team made the most of its strategy to bring the three Ferrari pilots to fourth after four hours of hard racing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall we had a good race, and I think we had the possibility of being on the podium but it didn\u2019t work out that way today,\u201d said Negri. \u201cWe really fought hard to make up the lost ground, and we were helped by the fact that the car was amazing especially on old tires. A safety car helped us out as well. We are stronger this year and so is the (ALMS) competition.
