Negri took over the No. 51 Ferrari for the middle stages of the race,\u00a0with Pier Guidi sliding into the cockpit to make a hard charge to the podium in the closing segment of the race.<\/p>\nTailem Bend, Australia (13 January 2020) \u2013 Ozz Negri concluded a weekend down under with a run to the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) podium following a third-place finish in Sunday\u2019s 4 Hours of The Bend \u2013 the second stop on the 2019-2020 ALMS schedule.<\/p>\n
Joined by Alessandro Pier Guidi and Francesco Piovanetti in the No. 51 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GT3, the trio started the race in fifth with Piovanetti taking the green flag. With four hours of racing on the long, 7.7km, 35 corner Australian circuit, the race featured three classes and four categories comprising of 25 cars between the LMP2, LMP2 Am, LMP3 and GT machines.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a good weekend and a great way to start 2020 with a podium,\u201d said Negri. \u201cThe race wasn\u2019t easy at all, with the track being very long with 35 corners and the temperatures were really high as well. But I had a great stint and was able to get us a lap back by passing the leader and then from there,\u00a0 it was just pushing hard. Our Ferrari 488 GT3 was on rails, just an incredible car to drive. Alessandro (Pier Guidi) got in the car after me and did an amazing job bringing us to a podium finish.
