(23 January 2020) \u2013Continuing to forge new ground with her accelerating career, Taylor Hagler completed her first qualifying session at Daytona International Speedway in the\u00a0IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge on Thursday. \u00a0Hagler will start on the seventh row\u00a0for Friday\u2019s BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona (TrackPass 1:10PM ET).<\/p>\n<p>Making her IMSA race debut in the No. 77 L.A. Honda World Honda Civic Type R TCR, Hagler powered through the 15-minute qualifying session, laying down her fastest lap of 2:01.894-seconds on the 3.56-mile \u201croval\u201d course as she posted her personal best time with the qualifying effort.\u00a0The 24-year-old driver\u00a0up-and-coming driver continues to improve &#8211; knocking off a half of a second\u00a0off her fastest lap time during the Roar Before the 24 earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping focused was integral for Hagler as she cleared traffic during the session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQualifying went great even with being my first time qualifying in this series,\u201d said Hagler. \u201cI got stuck in some mixed traffic, but I kept my focus and put down my fastest lap\u00a0at Daytona ever. Ryan (Eversley) and I will have some work to do during the race, but four hours is a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona will go green Friday, January 23rd\u00a0at 1:10PM ET with flag-to-flag coverage available on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daytona Beach, Fla.
