(7\u00a0September 2020) \u2013 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge rookie Taylor Hagler\u00a0earned\u00a0her best\u00a0finish\u00a0of the 2020 IMSA season, finishing fourth in the VP Racing Stay Frosty 240 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Sunday.<br>\u00a0<br>Taking the green flag for the four-event, Hagler\u00a0advanced\u00a0the No. 77 L.A. Honda World Honda Civic Type R TCR\u00a0four positions to fifth\u00a0on the opening lap. Settling into race pace, Hagler\u00a0battled\u00a0bumper-to-bumper with her TCR class competition for 28 laps before the first yellow flag came out.<br>\u00a0<br>Making her first pit stop\u00a0on Lap 35\u00a0during a full course caution, Hagler\u00a0was prepared for the restart in the No. 77\u00a0Honda armed with four new tires and full tank of fuel to take on the 2.54 circuit.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Hagler\u00a0made the most of the return to green flag action, racing up into podium position before the race was slowed for a second time on lap 71.\u00a0 Hagler completed her two-hour stint and brought\u00a0the Honda\u00a0Civic\u00a0to pit lane\u00a0and\u00a0handed the controls over to teammate Ryan Eversley.<br>\u00a0<br>Eversley kept the No. 77\u00a0Honda\u00a0in\u00a0fourth, but after just six laps\u00a0a\u00a0cut tire on Lap 87 forced the L.A. Honda World team to\u00a0resort to\u00a0an alternate pit strategy for the remaining one hour, 37-minutes of the first IMSA endurance event since the season-opening Daytona round.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"200\" width=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/ci5.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/9szgOcCuWiPDoMvQv3tkfZ2Xu308fUx19u_nFEIGZ5BAZhBPCr0bEWVAUUyyXeDjjwCgC2TL-slHfxg_Vc59SweHuS7iUTHHAOjNMZE-utiFwHyQeABmqSFSGQGM5MZrmzQrUVPzziBjjxXICzCImCLrALOmIw=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/images\/cc33725a-d9f8-408e-9c89-7525f732a694.jpg\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">As the checkered flag flew, the No. 77\u00a0Honda Civic\u00a0came home in fourth, which marked\u00a0the pair&#8217;s best finish of the season as well Hagler\u2019s career best IMSA result as she continues to progress in her rookie year.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cThe car was working so well for us that my main focus was just on completing each stint and moving as far up the field as I could,\u201d said Hagler. \u201cWe started the weekend having issues with the tires, so we were trying to figure out\u00a0the best\u00a0setup to make them work\u00a0as well as possible\u00a0for the race.\u201d<br><br>The multi-class event saw the TCR runners in constant contact with the faster GS class entries.\u00a0With Sunday\u2019s race coming under control of the safety car on multiple occasions, the L.A. Today\u2019s finish is well-deserved and hopefully we\u2019re able to take this result and use it to turn around our season. Road Atlanta is one of the tracks that I have the most experience\u00a0on,\u00a0which helped\u00a0my confidence\u00a0behind the wheel.
