Pataskala, Ohio (29\u00a0September 2020) – This weekend, Meyer Shank Racing driver Jack Harvey will return to the site of his first NTT INDYCAR Series podium as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) will host the Harvest Grand Prix. The event weekend will be the fifth double-header on the IndyCar schedule with Race 1 set for Friday, October 2 (3:30pm ET, USA Network) and Race 2 on Saturday, October 3 (2:30pm ET, NBC).<\/p>\n

What was the only IndyCar race that Indianapolis Motor Speedway held outside of the Month of May from 1911 to 1933, the Harvest Grand Prix will return to the 2020 IndyCar schedule this weekend. Having claimed a front row start with his No. 60 AutoNation \/ SiriusXM Honda at the track earlier this season, Harvey is eager to head back to the track as he targets a return to the podium.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Harvey was on his way to another podium finish at the INDYCAR Grand Prix until getting caught out by an unfortunately timed yellow flag which forced him to settle with a 17th place finish.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s really cool that IndyCar is bringing back a race with some history to it,\u201d said Harvey. \u201cIMS is of course such a special track that we get to race at, and this year we are lucky to be here three times in one year. We\u2019ve had a good record on the Road Course in the past. Unfortunately earlier this year we had a strong run but a yellow flag once again put us back in the field. Going into the weekend knowing that we have the speed is confidence inspiring, so myself and the guys are ready to get a good result.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2020 IndyCar season has boasted several positives so far this year for MSR which include Harvey\u2019s two front row starts at the INDYCAR Grand Prix and Road America in addition to starting in the top ten seven times. The Ohio-based team has shown to be contenders in the top of the field, yet several ill-timed yellows and on track incidents out of MSR\u2019s control have prevented the team from capturing a result representative of its pace.<\/p>\n

This weekend, MSR is hoping to turn its luck around as it sets its sights on the IMS podium.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really need to focus on getting top ten results these last three races,\u201d said Mike Shank. \u201cJack and the team have been doing a great job this season, we just have had some unlucky moments which has put us back. Going back to IMS where Jack has done well is a great thing. It\u2019s never too late to turn our season around and I think we can make that happen this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The double-header race weekend will start with qualifying for Race 1 on Thursday, October 1st at 6:20pm ET on the NBC Sports Gold App. Race 1 is set for a 3:30pm ET start on Friday, October 2nd with live coverage on the USA Network.<\/p>\n

Saturday, October 3rd will stage qualifying at 10:20am ET on the NBC Sports Gold App. Race 2 will start at 2:30pm ET on NBC.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
