(10\u00a0November 2020) \u2013Coming off of a fourth-place finish at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca,\u00a0Taylor Hagler heads back east to Sebring, Florida for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season finale at Sebring International Raceway\u00a0on Friday (TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold, 12:05pm ET). \u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">On Friday, young Hagler and her teammate Ryan Eversley will close\u00a0out the 2020 IMSA season\u00a0in the No. 77 L.A. Honda World Racing Honda Civic Type R TCR\u00a0as the duo look to make a big push to finish strong in Friday\u2019s Alan Jay Automotive Network 120.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Having had to learn several new tracks in her IMSA rookie season, Hagler will add yet another legendary circuit to her racing resume as she takes on the notoriously bumpy 3.74-mile track that plays host to the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hagler had been slated to make her Sebring debut when IMSA visited the circuit in July, but a positive COVID-19 test result kept her out of the car for the weekend.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prior to\u00a0arriving\u00a0at Sebring, which is known for producing high intensity and physically demanding racing, Hagler\u00a0focused on studying the data and feedback from Eversley and Dakota Dickerson (who filled in Hagler earlier in the year).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignleft\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci4.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/ikVUbBFRp-hU-l8P_qmUaGwNJ8DceLi5yJNJbwX1mzhkR4_QsrE_5uMVHMoCmq5Udh99hzZreFNJkRCEwvRvVW4kKgQliTmCLwEVkhIDbmIy1p2rRDnjwOdzhm-pmKPewQiZW6X4egJksgsJmINahq3rssn1S-CbMTyGqQ=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/_compresseds\/bb659e36-7224-43b8-a0c4-80e86586fbe5.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAlthough I had to miss the earlier round at Sebring this year, I watched the race closely and learned from the data in order to prepare,\u201d said Hagler about the July Sebring race. \u201cMy simulator\u00a0has helped me\u00a0learn the track, but\u00a0in order to get the full sensation of how the car reacts and performs on the track surface I need to physically be in the car. It will be a big focus for me as soon as we get on track. Our No. 77 L.A. Honda World Racing Honda Civic Type R TCR has exceeded our expectations\u00a0this year\u00a0and I am looking forward to experiencing everything that this track has to offer in the race.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hagler has displayed natural speed and determination throughout her debut IMSA season. Following\u00a0a nearly six-month\u00a0break\u00a0from IMSA competition\u00a0due to pandemic-related rescheduling, the Honda development driver\u00a0returned to racing action with full focus on scoring podium results.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">At Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in September, Hagler\u00a0made an impressive run to score her first top-five finish in IMSA,\u00a0placing\u00a0fourth\u00a0in the second endurance race of the season.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hagler continued her streak of success as she\u00a0earned her first-ever IMSA\u00a0podium finish at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course putting the Honda Civic second.\u00a0Just three hours after her podium celebration, Hagler\u00a0then went on to win\u00a0the\u00a0Motul Pole Award for race two at Mid-Ohio. The 25-year old was the third female ever to score pole in IMPC competition.\u00a0Hagler led all 26 laps of her opening stint\u00a0at Mid-Ohio\u00a0before handing the car over to Eversley. Utilizing full-course caution periods as well as the tools in the car, Hagler and Eversley rounded out the top-five.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The only west coast stop on the amended 2020\u00a0IMSA\u00a0calendar took Hagler to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Rebounding from two early penalties, Hagler charged through the TCR field before handing the car over to Eversley where he\u00a0brought home a fourth place finish.\u00a0\u00a0The finish marked Hagler and Eversley\u2019s fourth consecutive top-five finish of the year.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIt\u2019s hard to believe that my rookie season is coming to an end,\u201d said Hagler. \u201cI have learned so much working with the L.A. Honda World Racing team and Ryan (Eversley). This year pushed us mentally and physically, but we continued to better ourselves and our results are proof of that. We have made big strides the last couple of races, but we still want to win.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Following the final IMSA round, Hagler will\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0her fourth and\u00a0final HPD\u00a0GT3 Driver Academy at Sebring International Raceway\u00a0on Monday, November 16th.\u00a0Hagler will transition\u00a0from her Honda Civic Type R TCR\u00a0to the Acura NSX GT3 where she\u00a0will continue to gain seat time onboard the powerful GT3 machine and learn from official Acura drivers.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hagler will take the green flag for the\u00a0IMSA\u00a0season\u00a0finale Alan\u00a0Jay Automotive Network 120 at Sebring International Raceway on Friday, November 13th\u00a0at 12:05PM ET.
