Meyer Shank Racing Leans on History of Success at IMS Road Course<\/strong><\/p>\n

MSR will kick off its big weekend of competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GMR Grand Prix on Saturday. Jack Harvey will return to the site of his first-ever INDYCAR podium finish (2019) and front row start (2020) and look to continue on his strong run at the 2.534-mile road course this weekend.<\/p>\n

Harvey raced the No. 60 AutoNation \/ SiriusXM Honda through both dry and wet conditions to collect his first career INDYCAR podium with a third place result in 2019. The following season, Harvey scored his first-ever INDYCAR front row start at the IMS Road Course, but as Harvey was once again on his way to score a second podium finish, an unfortunately timed yellow tampered with the team\u2019s strategy and Harvey finished 17th.<\/p>\n

The fifth-year INDYCAR driver is coming off of big momentum from a fourth place finish in St. Petersburg and a strong seventh place at Texas Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always love going back to the IMS road course because it kicks off the Month of May,\u201d said Harvey. \u201cIt\u2019s also an important race because starting off the month with a good result really helps going into the 500. The team has been doing a tremendous job the first few races. Knowing that we have a really strong pace at the IMS road course, of course helps, but we\u2019ll go into the race weekend just like any other and try to keep going for podium finishes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyer Shank Racing Looks to Capture First Hometown Victory at Mid-Ohio for Acura Sports Car Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with the hometown advantage for Sunday\u2019s the Acura Sports Car Challenge Presented by the TLX Type S.<\/p>\n

Dane Cameron and Olivier Pla will take on the 2.258-mile Ohio circuit in the No. 60 Acura ARX-05 DPi.\u00a0 Not only excited to compete on home soil, MSR is hoping to represent Acura well as the manufacturer headlines the event weekend.<\/p>\n

The team is coming off of a podium finish at Sebring International Raceway in March. Having conquered two rough and tough endurance events, MSR now heads into the first sprint race of the IMSA season.<\/p>\n

Although MSR will make its debut at Mid-Ohio with the Acura ARX-05 DPi, the team certainly doesn\u2019t lack experience at it\u2019s home track. From 2004-2013 MSR had 18 entries at the Mid-Ohio event and nearly captured a win in the 2010 round (finished P2). From 2018 to 2020, MSR transitioned into GTD competition at Mid-Ohio and scored back-to-back second place finishes in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n

Now representing Acura at its home event, MSR is hoping to come out of it with a victory. The team has prepared for the event weekend with a single day test which saw Pla turn his first official laps around the course as he plans to make his debut at Mid-Ohio this weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to racing at Mid-Ohio as it will be the home race for MSR and my first race around this track,\u201d said Pla. \u201cWe tested here, so I had the chance to learn the track which I actually quite like. As always, the race will be super tight and intense and we will focus on managing traffic the best that we can. The third place finish at Sebring was good, but now we want more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cameron brings with him to Mid-Ohio a victory (2019) and a second pace finish (2018) onboard the Acura ARX-05 DPi at the 2.258-mile track. Cameron now hopes to add a second Mid-Ohio win to his resume and to give MSR it\u2019s first hometown victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cMid-Ohio should be a good place for us to build on the momentum of our Sebring podium as we look towards getting our first win as a group,\u201d said Cameron. \u201cIt was great to be able to test there after the long break we\u2019ve had and give Oli (Pla) a few extra laps to be ready for his first race at Mid-Ohio. I know the ARX-05 is well suited to the track, so it presents a good opportunity to get that first win and it would be extra special to do it in Acura and Meyer Shank Racing\u2019s backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n
