Elkhart Lake, Wisc. (19 June 2021)<\/strong> – Jack Harvey once again proved to be a front runner in the No. 60 AutoNation \/ SiriusXM Honda during Saturday\u2019s Rev Group Grand Prix qualifying at Road America. Harvey put the Meyer Shank Racing Indy car third in the order for Sunday\u2019s 55 lap race (12:00pm ET, NBC).<\/p>\n

Road America is high on Harvey\u2019s list of favorite tracks to race at, not only for the 4.0-miles of natural terrain landscape, but also for his successful past at the Wisconsin circuit.<\/p>\n

MSR made adjustments to the No. 60 Indy car on Friday night following a P15 result in Practice 1. Having qualified on the front row for the Road America race last year, Harvey was confident ahead of Saturday\u2019s qualifying.<\/p>\n

Finishing sixth in the first round of qualifying, Harvey moved into the Fast 12 session. The team made a front wing adjustment following feedback from Harvey in the first round. Harvey then went on to post his fastest lap of the weekend (1:45.361-seconds) to top the charts and move onto the Firestone Fast Six.<\/p>\n

Harvey\u2019s appearance in the Fast Six was the fifth for him so far this season. In an effort to save the most of his Firestone alternate tires, Harvey went out with just four minutes to go to try and secure pole position.<\/p>\n

Harvey closed out the session with a 1:46.720-second lap to place him third for the start of Sunday\u2019s Rev Group Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a pretty good run and our black (tire) pace was really strong,\u201d said Harvey. \u201cI think we left a bunch on the table during Practice 1 and 2 and we kind of hoped that if we put everything together that we would transfer into the Fast Six. To start P3 here is pretty awesome. I could have done a few things better here and there in the Fast Six to maybe get a little bit closer to Josef (Newgarden). But everyone at Meyer Shank Racing has been working really hard; I know we\u2019ve has some unfortunate results but the mental discipline that the team has is what is keeping us going. I think we have the makings of a great car for the race, so we\u2019ll go and get it.\u201d<\/p>\n
