{"id":3790,"date":"2021-10-04T21:20:53","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T01:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/?p=3790"},"modified":"2023-05-04T12:54:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T16:54:16","slug":"victory-at-sebring-for-taylor-hagler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/index.php\/2021\/10\/04\/victory-at-sebring-for-taylor-hagler\/","title":{"rendered":"Victory at Sebring for Taylor Hagler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Hagler charges to third GT World Challenge America victory of season at Sebring<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>SEBRING, FL (3 October 2021)<\/strong> \u2013 Taylor Hagler charged to the lead on her first full green-flag lap of competition\u00a0Sunday\u00a0at Sebring International Raceway, taking her third Pro-Am victory of the season in\u00a0Fanatec\u00a0GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competition.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Hagler was joined by Dakota Dickerson in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3. Running sixth overall and second in class on a restart with 28 minutes remaining, Hagler made a move to the inside to pass the class leader and complete a last-to-first rebound for the team. Hagler has won three of the last six races in the class.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/i4xSWqIkrOjdMiYZ7Jtc2Dsea2Hnjddkd-YT-bldVrWhf4SNQDe4iQQx9yB1jNBDQY8kQgGxAZVRcsAEKGyejLpsi3avuaNJ8h3aRp-hExffZlJdT6VIzLHkT7RXMH9LwrEl-uZv4vWxzDhh9giSNe5_MC-GoS4=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/images\/d00b96d2-7a12-fdee-925a-bb00e082655a.jpeg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t know if [Pro-Am leader Fred\u00a0Poordad] had an issue, or if he just got startled at the start with all the Pro-Pro drivers,\u201d Hagler said. \u201cI was able to follow another car\u00a0through, and\u00a0made a pass on the outside of Turn 7 and made it stick. From there, that was it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Gridded fourth overall and second in class, Dickerson went to the outside in Turn 1 at the start. Two cars inside of him made contact, with one of them coming over and hitting Dickerson, sending the Acura spinning back to 14th\u00a0position and seventh in class. From that point, Dickerson charged through the field, returning to sixth overall and second in class \u2013 although 23-seconds behind the leader.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDakota\u2019s a really, really good teammate,\u201d Hagler said. \u201cHe\u2019s an amazing driver with a world of experience. He\u2019s very quick and very precise in everything he does. I had a very bad start yesterday and I fell back, so I know what it\u2019s like to come back and chase.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ci4.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/np70WgS02VSETPtkF3so2yt0aj7p-56DsvgL7-6xkUVgnX7rYJ7UNjdfombi6QKSInQLUfsoZNnQjj_EIIWE0oWqbaeHt4CR-O2Ry0vNk18rwOX3KWjj0ZooXLoETK4XS1QDkPWjg1x_MreujCccjg4SIy1k-CU=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/images\/4adb0899-c7dd-67f2-f179-3725deb2e241.jpeg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the pit stop and driver change, the only full-course caution of the event waved which allowed Hagler to close in on the leader, setting up her winning move on the restart and a flawless 28\u00a0minutes\u00a0sprint to the checkered flag.
