2022 Full-season IMSA program for talented Briton<\/em><\/p>\n

Pataskala, Ohio (16 November 2021)<\/strong> – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has announced that sports car ace and 2021 Motul Petit Le Mans overall winner Oliver Jarvis will join the team\u2019s full-season lineup for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Jarvis will make his debut in the No. 60 Acura ARX-05 DPi\u00a0 in the 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona as MSR begins its second full-season of IMSA DPi competition.<\/p>\n

Jarvis has competed full-time in the category for the last four seasons, earning 14 podium finishes including\u00a0race victories\u00a0at Canadian Tire Motorsport\u00a0Park and Watkins Glen International in 2020 and most recently Petit Le Mans last weekend. Prior to his career in IMSA, Jarvis competed in DTM from 2008-2011.<\/p>\n

Jarvis made his FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) debut in 2010 competing at the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans.\u00a0With nine career starts in the famed 24 hour European event, Jarvis scored victory in the 2017 edition with an LMP2 win on the way to finishing second overall. He has also netted five WEC wins between 2016-2017 at Spa Francorchamps, Bahrain, Silverstone, Le Mans, and Nurburgring.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted to be joining Meyer Shank Racing for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship,\u201d said Jarvis. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to start working with Mike (Shank) and the team, and to get my first taste of the Acura ARX-05.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving competed against the Acura for many years, and watching it win numerous races and titles, I\u2019m more than aware of how capable it is,\u201d continued Jarvis. \u201cWith a new team, there will be lots to learn, but I am certain we will be up to speed quickly and I can\u2019t wait to get on track and start challenging for victories.\u201d<\/p>\n
