{"id":4422,"date":"2022-05-09T15:51:21","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T19:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/?p=4422"},"modified":"2023-05-03T16:38:41","modified_gmt":"2023-05-03T20:38:41","slug":"hagler-carries-championship-lead-to-mid-ohio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/09\/hagler-carries-championship-lead-to-mid-ohio\/","title":{"rendered":"Hagler Carries Championship Lead to Mid-Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lexington, Ohio (9 May 2022) &#8211;<\/strong> Taylor Hagler\u00a0will continue\u00a0her 2022 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) campaign\u00a0this weekend as she heads back across the country for the Mid-Ohio 120\u00a0on Saturday, May 14 (4:00pm ET, Peacock).<\/p>\n<p>Leading the 2022 IMPC championship by 30 points, Taylor\u00a0Hagler and her Hyundai co-driver Michael Lewis will\u00a0combine in the No. 1 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR\u00a0at the 2.258-mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the fourth round of the 2022\u00a0IMSA\u00a0season.<\/p>\n<p>Having just scored a top five finish at Hyundai\u2019s home event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca two weeks ago, Hagler is eager to head back to Mid-Ohio &#8211; a track that has been a highlight for the Texas native through her young career.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Hagler raced to a second place podium finish in race 1 at the track, and backed that up by earning her first-ever IMSA career pole position for the second race of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignleft\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci5.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/4Vfqcbl_4gx0XOI2i_MvUTEEnVn_hqivlPOetNgR0DAb-iRpbrTjs5NIUAR10MHX84CE8o_AajDLcZUUKqZFoMk0FlW0UOedr1gvpfy6bIapNkK7Ts6ibUkBW2UBBP666od3qExdIoaH7vP-WJARHplOPwDtor8=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/images\/f77329fa-3bdf-d743-4f55-b16df9d5d663.jpeg\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" \/>During the 2021 IMPC championship season, Hagler raced to the podium again at Mid-Ohio with a second\u00a0place finish\u00a0with Lewis in the\u00a0No. 77 Hyundai Veloster N TCR.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to be going back to Mid-Ohio, especially with how we performed there last year,\u201d said Hagler. \u201cThe Elantra has been running great this year, and I want to continue with what Michael (Lewis) and I have set out to accomplish this season. We aren\u2019t sure what the weather will bring, but we\u2019ve had a good record there with our Hyundais and hopefully we can continue that this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The No. 1 Elantra will sport a special addition to the car for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c&amp;id=2c86c18bdf&amp;e=6b1c5c3a32\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/sundaymanagement.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Da33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c%26id%3D2c86c18bdf%26e%3D6b1c5c3a32&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1652370714017000&amp;usg=AOvVaw018TIOInv-EsnwXb92wUcy\">Project K9 Hero<\/a>, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of retried Military Working Dogs and Police K-9 Heroes.
