Pagenaud, Castroneves both winners in most recent visits to high-speed oval<\/em><\/p>\n

Newton, Iowa (19\u00a0July 2022)<\/strong> \u2013 Meyer<\/span> Shank Racing (MSR) gets a double-dose of high-speed NTT INDYCAR SERIES action when it tackles Iowa Speedway for a pair of weekend races.<\/p>\n

Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud will drive the team\u2019s two entries, circling the tight .875-mile banked oval at laps quicker than 18-seconds in Saturday\u2019s Hy-Veedeals.com 250 (4:00pm ET, NBC) and Sunday\u2019s Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 (3:00pm ET, NBC).<\/p>\n

Both MSR drivers won in their most recent visits to Iowa.<\/p>\n

Pagenaud, who drives the No. 60 AutoNation \/ SiriusXM Honda\u00a0won in spectacular fashion during the most recent IndyCar Series race at Iowa in 2020. Starting last (23rd), he went on to lead 83 laps en route to victory in the Friday night race. The following day, a charge from 23rd resulted in a fourth-place finish. Pagenaud is a 10-time competitor at Iowa, also capturing two poles in 2016 and 2019.<\/p>\n

Castroneves returns to the No. 06 AutoNation \/ SiriusXM Honda for the second of four consecutive races for the IndyCar field. Castroneves has 11 starts at Iowa, winning in 2017 in his last visit to the venue. He also finished second in 2010. The Brazilian racer\u00a0has five front-row starts at Iowa Speedway, capturing poles in 2009 and 2015, and has led 644 laps.<\/p>\n

MSR last competed at Iowa in 2020, placing seventh in both the Friday and Saturday night races. The team also raced at the venue\u2019s infield road course in Grand-Am Rolex Series competition in 2007, placing\u00a0fifth (Ozz Negri and Mark Patterson) and ninth (Ian James and John Pew).<\/p>\n

The Hy-Veedeals.com 250 starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd with coverage on NBC and SiriusXM Ch. 160. Sunday\u2019s Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 takes the green flag at 3:30 p.m. with coverage on NBC and SiriusXM Ch. 160.<\/p>\n
