The <a href=\"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c&amp;id=adf3b359a9&amp;e=99876ef132\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/sundaymanagement.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Da33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c%26id%3Dadf3b359a9%26e%3D99876ef132&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708099234923000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3MlY-wX5MZG0XAU5kH1iVn\">$250 donation<\/a>\u00a0that places the name on the car is matched by the organization\u2019s founder, Phil Frengs, and his company Legistics \u2013 and every dollar goes directly to the Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s beneficiary programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kvamme captured his second straight\u00a0Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America Am class title in 2023 with nine victories in 16 races, scoring an astonishing first or second place finish in every race. But for Kvamme, whose grandfather suffered from Alzheimer\u2019s, the season represents much more than simply going for his third straight Am class title \u2013 it\u2019s a chance to connect with race fans across the country who share his story.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignright\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/meips\/ADKq_NZ0RrFFCnOPgYTnP5jr0fgbnyaM5I9AP58jFWH0bNG2q8n2bt6FKEw9ODX7Eu_99gRROPFVKw33kuvkXvIpHS6a1liWCsLhII6nDqVMzVJ3l8yfWjcs1KSYYi7PJUFbRgvbFFszL7JS_mekiPgWGhEmGlERq0e4wSw=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/images\/68c2a44f-4fb4-51b4-ec21-f2f90cc4be4b.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" align=\"right\" data-bit=\"iit\" \/>\u201cAlzheimer\u2019s has touched our family so this is very personal,\u201d said Kvamme. \u201cI love being a part of this effort, not only to raise money, but to talk to people at the racetrack. The car is iconic in its design, with all the names, and people identify with that \u2013 especially the family members and friends who have put loved ones\u2019 names on the car. We hear their stories and it\u2019s so powerful. I\u2019m hoping to go out there, do well again this year, and continue the effort \u2013 we have to go for the three-peat!\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">But the on-track action is only a fraction of the work that lies at the heart of Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s. Frengs attends every race weekend, serving as the designated \u201chugger-in-chief.\u201d He spends those race weekends talking to fans, many of whom have stories of their own that speak to the effect that dementia and Alzheimer\u2019s has had on their families. Going to the racetrack and meeting so many people throughout the season is the most important part of the program for me. It seems that everyone has a story about how Alzheimer\u2019s or dementia has affected their family, and it helps me to share in those moments. We\u2019re ready to head to Sebring \u2013 and the rest of a very impressive 2024 racing schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America series will compete on some of the biggest stages in racing in 2024, in both the U.S. and Canada. The series joins IMSA at five of its legendary venues: Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, Indianapolis, and Road America. Race one will take the green flag Thursday, March 14 at 4:50 pm, with race two Friday at 7:15 pm ET.
