(6 October 2017) \u2013 In addition to already clinching the 2017 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama Championship with Jake Eidson at Sonoma Raceway earlier this year, Kelly-Moss Road and Race capped off the season at Road Atlanta with three more victories this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>A championship title wasn\u2019t enough for Eidson, as he added another victory to his list in\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1337164257\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Thursday\u2019s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0first race of the weekend. He led from green to checkered flag through several restarts to take his seventh win of the year. Eidson scored the pole in Race 2 and took home the runner-up result\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1337164258\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6766\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-300x200.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-555x370.jpg 555w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02-800x533.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Eidson-champagne-02.jpg 1280w\" alt=\"Eidson champagne 02\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Friday<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was good restart practice but it\u2019s really tough because you are always trying to work hard to get the tires up to temperature,\u201d said Eidson of Race 1 and the abundant caution periods. \u201cThat\u00a0first lap is pretty difficult because the tires are kind of unpredictable. I am just over the moon for Kelly-Moss and Racing for Children for putting forth a lot of effort to make this all possible. It\u2019s so great to be part of an organization that has so much success and these guys work so hard to give me a race car that can win every weekend. Getting this championship means so much to me and I am so thankful to have Kelly-Moss behind me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The final race of the season saw the return of KMR driver, David Ducote, in the Gold category. Ducote gave the Gold class young guns a run for their\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6767\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-300x200.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-555x370.jpg 555w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05-800x533.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.kellymossmotorsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ducote-05.jpg 1280w\" alt=\"Ducote 05\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>money as he claimed victory in both\u00a0races. While it was a little more clear sailing in Race 1, Ducote had to defend hard in Race 2. Despite the Gold class championship leader Victor Gomez reeling in the No. 06 Porsche 911 of Decote in the final laps of the second race, Ducote\u2019s masterful driving behind the wheel saw him hold on to take his second victory of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels awesome to give these guys two wins this weekend,\u201d said Ducote. \u201cI\u2019ve been out of the car since March or April and I had an injury so I have been training hard to get ready to get back in the car.
