The Silverstone outing marked his second time on board the AMR22, having previously tested with it at Spielberg\u2019s Red Bull Ring in June.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did all my testing in the afternoon, cramming a full day in a five-hour session,\u201d Crawford said. \u201cIt was raining in the morning and I only did one installation lap in Aston Martin\u2019s F1 car from two years ago. The F1 car felt good, and it was amazing to drive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Only three days earlier, Crawford was the first driver to take the checkered flag in Silverstone\u2019s F2 Feature Race, ultimately being classified as third due to a five-second time penalty.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignleft\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/meips\/ADKq_NYFzz1WgMOM3BJ_7b97ZD73hfeuN9J7BLmeVF4fZBAk5bGrKnvRYn5MtlFQordsWJ0_fWEcmXeYHiGydoz_PxJnNEWy88YFOsd4LxYrtcq4G20IvFSwK2cfXhk_HFjXA0BYgsmxa7WvzzTlc5MCChSo3_yU9XPvfQ-pzQ1ngKY=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/_compresseds\/ae0aad5b-c542-f48b-7b1d-ec7a16e7884a.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" align=\"left\" data-bit=\"iit\" \/>Capturing his first F2 Feature Race victory two weeks earlier at Barcelona for DAMS Lucas Oil, Crawford is looking forward to continuing his strong form as the F2 season enters the second half of the season<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had just driven the F2 car at Silverstone in the race over the weekend,\u201d Crawford said. \u201cDriving the F1 car was a lot different. It\u2019s really fast. I got up to speed well and felt confidence with the car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the team is happy,\u201d he added. \u201cI know they\u2019re happy with the long-run pace, which has been a strength of mine this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Crawford has no F1 testing scheduled until the end of the Grand Prix season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the moment, my next time in the Formula 1 car will be the Young Driver Test at Abu Dhabi in December,\u201d he said. \u201cBut you never know.
