He is living in Silverstone during his rookie campaign in GB3.

The big weekend moved the ONE Sotheby’s International Realty-backed driver of the No. 62 fielded by Fortec Motorsports to 13th in the championship standings as he looks to continue building on lessons learned in his rookie season.

“We’ve raced at Silverstone earlier this season, so we think we’ll have everything dialed in very quickly,” Queen said. “We have all the data necessary, and we should be up speed. Our expectations are high, and I’m confident that the weekend will go well.

“Back in April, the weather here was absolutely horrendous the whole weekend,” he added. “But the last weekend was very nice. You can never tell what the weather will be like in England, so this weekend can be either/or. We’ll be ready for rain, but I think we’ll be ready whatever the conditions are.”

Queen qualified 11th back in April, and finished 14th and 11th in the opening two races. He was set for a front-row start in race three which features an inverted gird for the top 12, but the race was cancelled due to hazardous conditions.

“Qualifying is always very important wherever you go, but at Silverstone there’s definitely more room for passing,” Queen said. “It’s more about keeping your tires in the right window through the whole race, than waiting to take advantage of mistakes made up front.”

Queen is concentrating on qualifying in the top seven this weekend.

“We’re not looking at the reverse grid,” he said. “We’d rather be P2 or P3 for race one and race two.
