LAKEVILLE, CONN. (22 October 2024)<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Lime Rock Park, in partnership with Sports Car Driver Association (SCDA), is excited to welcome back Mazda of Milford (CT) and introduce Mazda USA and Whaling City Mazda as key sponsors for the highly anticipated MiataCon (October 25-26)<\/p>\n

MiataCon, a first-of-its-kind celebration of the iconic Mazda Miata, returns for its second edition in 2024. After a successful debut in 2023, the event continues to gain momentum, uniting fans of the beloved sports car. (www.limerock.com\/events\/MiataCon<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Get the Full Miata Experience in the Fan Zone<\/b><\/p>\n

Lime Rock Park\u2019s B Paddock will transform into a fully interactive Fan Zone, featuring Mazda-inclusive lifestyle brands, Mazda and Miata-focused vendors, Miata street drive activities, a car show and car corral.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Inside the Fan Zone will be the Mazda USA Lounge, featuring an impressive display of Miatas from its Heritage Collection. Fans can explore seven distinct Miatas, showcasing the evolution of the beloved sports car that includes first, second and third-generation models, the current generation 2024 Miata, a MX-5 Cup car, the unique \u201cHalfie\u201d that is half stock ND Miata and half MX-5 Cup Car and a special SEMA design concept car.<\/p>\n

The lounge area will also allow the Mazda community to connect with one another in a relaxed setting where visitors can send \u201clove letters to driving,\u201d take home commemorative Miata postcards and receive branded Miata coasters after completing a survey.<\/p>\n

Mazda of Milford is expanding its presence this year with an extensive eight-car display for fans to explore. The lineup includes the Mazda CX-90, CX-70, CX-50, CX-5, CX-30 and a Mazda 3 Hatchback, along with two additional Miatas, all available for purchase. This impressive showcase will be conveniently located next to the Mazda USA Lounge.<\/p>\n

New to the event this year is the Nutmeg Miata Club Street Drive. Fans can join fellow Miata enthusiasts for a scenic street drive through the local area, hosted by the Nutmeg Miata Club on Friday, October 25. Starting from the Nutmeg Miata tent in Paddock B, part of the Fan Zone, groups will depart at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for a 40-mile drive, lasting approximately one hour. Participation is completely free, with no pre-registration required\u2014just arrive and sign up on a first-come, first-served basis to experience the beauty of the surrounding roads with fellow Miata owners.<\/p>\n

Further enhancing the Fan Zone on Saturday (Oct. 26)\u00a0 is the Moss Miata Car Show that will elevate the fan and car corral experience with fun and creative award categories like Favorite Miata, Best Style, Most Personality and more. The different corral classifications for entry include NA Miata (1989 \u2013 1997), NB Miata (1998 \u2013 2005), NC Miata (2006 \u2013 2015), ND Miata (2016 \u2013 present), Kei Cars, Mazda & JDM Sportscars.<\/p>\n

About MiataCon<\/b><\/p>\n

MiataCon will feature three competitive Miata classes: Spec\/Global MX-5, Spec Miata and an Exhibition group. These classes will conclude with a thrilling one-hour enduro race on Saturday, October 26, mixing all three classes on track simultaneously. The weekend will also feature non-racing HPDE sessions on the main circuit along with MiataX, a Miata-only autocross experience, on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds on Friday (Oct. 25) and Saturday (Oct. 26).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

General Admission weekend passes for MiataCon are $40 at the gate with upgrades for camping and corrals available. Children under 12, active military and veterans can attend the event for free with a military ID. The first 100 fans through the gate will receive a commemorative MiataCon lanyard and badge.<\/p>\n
