Developing profile in North America for growing international championship<\/em><\/p>\n

Paris, France\u00a0(11 June)\u2014The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) has appointed Sunday Group Management as the North American media representatives for the global endurance sports car category.<\/p>\n

Sunday Group will manage an active media engagement campaign, developing custom content to support North American media placements for the growing international championship.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2012 by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l\u2019Automobile (FIA) and Automobile Club de l\u2019Ouest (ACO), the World Endurance Championship has seen significant growth with expansion into new markets worldwide for its eight-race calendar, which visits four continents and includes the Lone Star Le Mans (September 5-7) that is staged at Circuit of the Americas.<\/p>\n

The WEC has continued to expand its audience, with significant growth of in-person attendance at events as well as with its digital platforms, including the WEC TV app and an expanded broadcast audience that has a reach of 200 million worldwide.<\/p>\n

The WEC growth is also reflected in the significant commitment from a wide range of prestigious automotive brands.\u00a0 With eight manufacturers racing in the top Hypercar class and a further nine manufacturers competing in the LMGT3 class, the WEC paddock is thriving.<\/p>\n

The diverse range of manufacturers have recognized the value of telling their brand story through competition in WEC including events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans.<\/p>\n

\u201cLone Star Le Mans at COTA was a significant success last year,\u201d said Andrew Craig, the North American representative for the World Endurance Championship. \u201cIt is very important for WEC to continue grow its profile in North America, and, after a successful cooperation in 2024 we\u2019ve retained Sunday Group Management to provide continuing support in 2025. Given Sunday Group Management’s highly positive role in 2024 we are pleased to continue the relationship with a broader scope for 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since 2003, Indianapolis-based Sunday Group Management has specialized in developing marketing communications for a range of clients to make contributions to the growth of motorsport, working with teams, drivers, series, cause-based initiatives, and facilities across a wide spectrum of categories including INDYCAR, NASCAR, IMSA, and historic racing.
