After a successful HSR weekend, the team returns to the Finger Lakes region for round five of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge<\/em><\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES (June 17, 2025) \u2013 Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s with Stephen Cameron Racing takes to the track this weekend for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge\u2019s LP Business Solutions 120 at The Glen \u2013 part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship\u2019s Sahlen\u2019s Six Hours.<\/p>\n

Watkins Glen\u2019s fast and flowing 11-turn, 3.450-mile layout challenges both man and machine, but drivers Sean Quinlan and Greg Liefooghe are up to the task, having scored top 10 finishes in all four series races this season in the No. 19 Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s Ford Mustang GT4.<\/p>\n

Equally up to the task last weekend were Matt Forbush and Tom Long behind the wheel of the No. 18 Racing to End Alzheimer’s Ligier LMP3 in the Historic SportsCar Racing (HSR) event at the upstate New York circuit, competing in both the Prototype Challenge and the Classic Six Hour. Forbush and Long captured a third-place finish in the Prototype Challenge enduro (despite an untimely tire puncture), while Forbush earned a victory and a second-place finish in the two sprint races. The highlight of the weekend came on Saturday, as the pair teamed up again to score the class victory (finishing fourth overall) in the Classic Six Hour.<\/p>\n

Forbush was thrilled with his progress in only his third race weekend in a prototype race car, but also happy to have his children on hand for the Father\u2019s Day weekend, happy to be racing alongside the veteran Long, and even happier to see the rear fin of the LMP3 rapidly filling up with names of loved ones who have suffered from Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s founder Phil Frengs was on hand last weekend, as he will be again this weekend for the IMSA event. When it comes to racing \u2013 and to fan engagement \u2013 Watkins Glen never disappoints.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t the greatest weather last weekend, but the fans still came out,\u201d said Frengs. \u201cAnd we know they\u2019ll be out in force this weekend. They love racing up here and they\u2019re so knowledgeable. And I know they\u2019ll come find us in the Pilot Challenge paddock, to talk about their family members \u2013 there are plenty of families in this area who have put a loved one\u2019s name on the car. We\u2019re up to 120 names between the Pilot Challenge car and the LMP3, and we hope to continue to add more and more as the season progresses.\u201d<\/p>\n

The No. 19 Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s Mustang gives families the chance to honor loved ones who have suffered from Alzheimer\u2019s disease or other forms of dementia. For a $250 donation, the family member\u2019s name and hometown is placed on the car, and their photo can be posted on the Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s website\u2019s tribute page.\u00a0<\/a>All donations are matched\u00a0by Frengs\u2019s company Legistics, with 100% going to the\u00a0program\u2019s two beneficiaries \u2013 the Nantz National Alzheimer Center at Houston Methodist, and the UCLA Alzheimer\u2019s and Dementia Care Program.<\/p>\n

To date, Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s has donated over $1 million to these two programs.<\/p>\n
