The results are the best-ever by two MSR drivers in the same event and is the third straight top-10 result for Armstrong.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignleft\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/meips\/ADKq_NZVss-WpGUqKbN-WhWG4MCIlKSUS224O_PlJk__TsyyPXg6MnYlHKXArE0ARpe4PGksqJAB5TU-Mpx9itm7ilLaxqFo9BSSfwn_WLxt2-xv9uoD5GK1cPLpYHNCAFzaqTTk5MkKefPjzDR6BDZkAzdqxObR8Dh0AwbKvUPWR98=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/_compresseds\/a64aafd2-664f-4a34-8a16-ae0146d5bae7.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" data-bit=\"iit\" \/>The 90-degree day in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin was nearly 20 degrees above the normal temperature for the series\u2019 annual visit, but the heat wasn\u2019t the only thing above normal in the first half of the race. Aggression ramped up with the temperature, causing four caution periods in the first 24 laps of the race, scrambling pit strategies throughout the field.<br \/>\nThe MSR strategies and crisp pit stops put both drivers at the sharp end of the field just after the halfway point and saw Rosenqvist lead laps for the third consecutive race leading to his final pit stop with 13 laps to run. Armstrong pitted one lap later and quick pit work on both cars put them in contention as the rest of the field had to slow to save fuel, or pit to ensure they could finish.<br \/>\nRosenqvist moved into second with two laps to go and halved his deficit to Palou over the last trip around the Road America layout before settling for second. The finish moved the Swedish driver into a tie for fourth\u00a0in the championship points after nine of the year\u2019s 17 races.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T alignright\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/meips\/ADKq_NYFZ13tlD2xGbdwp5edzP1c2ybzk0qjqhtuGB6WX3j5AkpLKloq8xdvGkVm0Haa-bca62F7Kd0Z0TmB6zWk4ns2t5RY_g5iWwd9lPwq-8mHC7BXDII1oLnbCEDZ3KnIN2FVtzqVoS1toJTfuN97DM-oocPEQXpXWRk5npzUsq0=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/a33ba08d163385b4a77fabf6c\/_compresseds\/bdeb19af-3059-4c12-bd8a-ff32e440a2e3.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" data-bit=\"iit\" \/>MSR will have a break next week before heading to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the July 4-6 Honda Indy 200.
