ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (2\u00a0Aug\u00a02025) — Nick Yelloly captured the third-consecutive pole position for Acura Meyer Shank Racing’s (\u201cAcura MSR\u201d) No. 93 Acura, leading qualifying for Sunday\u2019s Motul SportsCar Grand Prix. Another streak is on the line Sunday, with the team seeking its third-straight race win\u00a0in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.<\/p>\n
Yelloly turned in a fast lap of 1:48.628-seconds on the challenging 4.048-mile Road America circuit in the No. 93 Acura ARX-6. He\u00a0topped the chart with five minutes remaining in the 15-minute session and then held on to take his second pole of the campaign. Yelloly\u00a0won the pole at Detroit where co-driver Renger van der Zande delivered a late-race charge to victory. Van der Zande then kept the pole streak alive by leading qualifying in\u00a0the most recent IMSA event at Watkins Glen.<\/p>\n

Colin Braun qualified fourth in the No. 60 Acura ARX-6 (co-driven by Tom Blomqvist) with a lap of 1:48.708-seconds. He ranked second with one minute remaining, but two competitors managed to slip in faster laps as time ran out, and\u00a0denied\u00a0the team its second front-row sweep. The top four\u00a0cars were\u00a0covered by 0.080 of a second, which is the closest top four\u00a0of the IMSA season.<\/p>\n
In their last outing, Braun and Blomqvist won the Sahlen\u2019s Six Hours of The Glen, taking the victory on the final lap.<\/p>\n
Acura MSR demonstrated strong pace in practice. Blomqvist paced the opening session with a lap of 1:51.255-seconds, while Yelloly was second in Saturday\u2019s final practice at 1:46.682-seconds, only 0.006-seconds behind the leader.<\/p>\n
The two-hour, 40-minute race begins at 1:10 p.m. CT on Sunday, and will be streamed live on Peacock and broadcast on SiriusXM channel 206.<\/p>\n
