{"id":8489,"date":"2025-08-18T15:07:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T19:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/?p=8489"},"modified":"2025-08-19T15:08:29","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:08:29","slug":"racing-to-end-alzheimers-ready-to-rebound-at-vir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sundaymanagement.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/18\/racing-to-end-alzheimers-ready-to-rebound-at-vir\/","title":{"rendered":"Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s ready to rebound at VIR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES (August 18, 2025) \u2013 Racing to End Alzheimer&#8217;s with Stephen Cameron Racing looks to rebound this weekend, heading to VIRginia International Raceway with the back-up No. 19 Ford Mustang after an incident in the previous race weekend\u2019s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge took the team\u2019s primary car out of commission.<\/p>\n<p>The team, led by drivers Sean Quinlan and Greg Liefooghe, scored their first podium of the year last month in Canada, and looked poised for a similar result earlier this month at Road America \u2013 until Liefooghe was hit and sent into the turn four wall. With significant damage incurred, the team \u2013 currently working out of the LAP Motorsports shop in Indianapolis to save time going back and forth to their home base in Sonoma, Calif. \u2013 set to work on the No. 19 Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s Ford Mustang back car.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past two weeks, the crew has spent long hours making sure the car has all the latest updates, including the current BoP (balance of performance) specifications and driver ID information \u2013 and of course, making sure the names are back in place for this weekend\u2019s two-hour Virginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix at VIRginia International Raceway, live on Peacock at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t thank the entire Cameron team enough for their hard work on this,\u201d said Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s founder Phil Frengs. \u201cThe team has done an outstanding job to get the back-up Ford Mustang ready in just over two weeks, and we know the car will be set up in every way, even including placing each name back in its original spot. For a $250 donation, the family member\u2019s name and hometown is placed on the car, and their photo can be posted on the Racing to End Alzheimer\u2019s website\u2019s tribute page. VIR is a wonderfully designed track, a fast track, and we&#8217;ve had really great experiences racing there, including a victory (in 2019).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The VIRginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series will take the green flag Saturday at 2:20 p.m. ET.
