ST52 Racing rider a three-time winner at Cal Expo\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 18, 2018) \u2013 Shayna Texter will be looking to use the experience gained in the recent American Flat Track (AFT) Singles race at Phoenix when she takes her new ST52 Racing Husqvarna to the Cal Expo Fairgrounds for Saturday\u2019s Harley-Davidson Sacramento Mile Presented by Cycle Gear. Texter has three victories at the circuit, including the 2017 event.<\/p>\n

Riding her new No. 52 ST52 Racing Husqvarna FC 450 to an eighth-place finish in Saturday\u2019s Law Tigers Arizona Mile, Texter looks to put that knowledge to good use when she returns to Sacramento.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhoenix was the first time I ever ran on a one-mile track with my Husqvarna,\u201d Texter said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t come in with any notes, and we had a lot of work to do set-up wise, especially as the track conditions were constantly changing.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut now I think we\u2019ve got a good baseline for when we head into Sacramento,\u201d continued the 27-year-old rider from Lancaster, Pa., who formed her own team ahead of the 2018 AFT Singles season. \u201cWe should be able to start out with our bike with a head start compared to last week just given how much we learned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Texter scored her second of five AFT Singles main event victories at Sacramento last year. She also won at the circuit in 2012 and 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cSacramento has always been a good race track for me,\u201d Texter said. \u201cIt\u2019s fast, and it\u2019s usually a more consistent surface. Hopefully, I\u2019ll be able to put on a good show. I am loving racing this Husqvarna, and I feel good on it. It\u2019s a bike that\u2019s definitely capable of winning, we just have to put the whole day together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Texter is now tied for fourth in the AFT Singles point standings, trailing the leader by 22 points.<\/p>\n

Sacramento will be the fourth of six consecutive weekends of racing for the American Flat Track competitors. Saturday\u2019s program begins with Singles practice at 2 p.m. PT, followed by qualifying at 2:30 p.m. The evening program opens with AFT Singles five-lap heat races at 6:30 p.m., followed by the eight-lap semis at 7:20 p.m. The 15-lap main event gets the green light at 8:10 p.m. PT.
