Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta will play host for the IMSA season finale and brings the two-car team back home just down the street from the team’s headquarters. The 2.54-mile course is also the site where TeamTGM clinched the 2018 IMPC championship after taking the green flag.
Owen Trinkler and Hugh Plumb will team in the No. 46 Jayne Koskinas Ted Giovanis Foundation (JKTG) / Camp Boggy Creek Mercedes-AMG GT4. Combined, the powerful pairing have made 12 total race starts at the 2.54-mile track. Veteran experience has proved pivotal for the duo – scoring three pole positions and a win for TeamTGM so far in the 2019 IMSA season.
The No. 4 JKTG Foundation / Camp Boggy Creek Mercedes-AMG GT4 piloted by Ted Giovanis and Guy Cosmo are prepped to take on the rolling hills that make the Georgia circuit such a challenge year after year. Cosmo brings seven top-five finishes in the former American Le Mans Series and IMPC competition. The pair also scored sixth in the 2016 edition of the event.
The Fox Factory 120 will go green on Friday, October 11th at 1:15PM ET and will be streamed lived on IMSA.tv.
Team Quotes:
Owen Trinkler:
“It is always great to go back to Road Atlanta. It is my home track and the place where I started driving. It has become a special place for TeamTGM because we got to celebrate our championship there last year. While there will be a different feel going into the race – we are there to win a race. The team will put our heads down so we come with the best strategy and car we can. Being a part of the Petit Le Mans weekend is special and I can’t wait to get there.”
Hugh Plumb:
“Road Atlanta is a special track and a special place for TeamTGM. We earned the 2018 championship there last year so there are many fond memories that come with this event weekend. We’re hoping to close out the season on a high note and keep doing what we are doing.”
Ted Giovanis:
“I am really looking forward to racing at Road Atlanta. I have put in a lot of laps and on-track time there so when it comes to getting into the swing of things – I will be ready, and the team will be ready.”
Guy Cosmo:
“It’s crazy that we are already at the end of the season but Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is a perfect spot for the IMSA finale. I’ve been racing here for many many years and it’s definitely one of my favorite tracks on the schedule. Ted and I have been progressing so much this season and we’ll be aiming for our best finish yet.”
