Pataskala, Ohio (27 October 2020) – Coming off of a sixth-place finish at the Motul Petit Le Mans earlier in the month, the No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the Monterey Sports Car Championship on Sunday (4:05pm ET, TRACKPASS).

Teaming up for the final two rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Alvaro Parente and Misha Goikhberg will look to continue recent momentum as they take on the 2.238-mile California circuit in the No. 57 Acura.

The team has enjoyed success at the iconic track in the past with Meyer Shank Racing’s inaugural GTD win at Laguna Seca in 2018. Parente and teammate Katherine Legge led 54 laps after starting from the pole to take home their second victory of the 2018 IMSA season.

Coming straight from the 24 hours of Spa last weekend and capturing a 13th-place finish, Parente is hoping to give Heinricher Racing its first win of the season at Laguna.

“I have some good memories with MSR at Laguna Seca with our win there two years ago,” said Parente. “I would love for us to repeat that result this weekend. Hopefully we can have a good run for Heinricher Racing and continue gaining points towards the championship.”

Competing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca since 2012, Goikhberg has raced to two podium finishes in IMSA Prototype Lites (2012 and 2013). He also has three top five finishes in Trans Am competition at the track.

“Laguna Seca is a really cool track that I’m looking forward to getting back to,” said Goikhberg. “This season has been a bit tough for us, but the team has continued to work hard to give us a strong car that we can be competitive with. Hopefully this weekend at Laguna we can keep pushing, get a good result and head to Sebring with a strong standing in the championship.”

The Monterey Sports Car Championship will go green on Sunday, November 1, at 4:05pm ET with live coverage on TRACKPASS by NBC Sports Gold.
