Meyer Shank Racing Partners with 1907water

Pataskala, Ohio (11 January 2021) – The New Zealand-based naturally alkaline water company will join two-time IMSA Championship winning Meyer Shank Racing as the official water of the team starting in 2021.

After closing out the 2020 IMSA season with its second consecutive championship title, Meyer Shank Racing will now move to the top Prototype class and debut the No. 60 SiriusXM / AutoNation Acura ARX-05 DPi starting at Daytona International Speedway in January.

Bottled at the source of a 50,000 year old artesian aquifer in New Zealand’s remote central plateau, 1907water contains naturally alkaline properties which mitigate the effects of the acidity levels in our bodies caused by stress, poor diet and sleep.

With the growing awareness of what we put in our bodies, 1907water will be an all-natural way for Meyer Shank Racing drivers to stay hydrated throughout the race season.

1907water has supported MSR IMSA driver Dane Cameron – who’s parents are from New Zealand – since the start of his racing career. The company will now continue to support the Charlotte-based driver along with the entire MSR crew for the 2021 season.

“I’m really excited to be partnered with 1907water this season,” said Cameron. “In endurance racing hydration is key, not only as a driver but for the crew who spend all day fully suited in the pits. Being stocked with 1907water will help us perform at our best as we fight for wins and ultimately the championship in 2021.”

“It’s great to have 1907water come onboard MSR starting next year,” said Mike Shank. “The company has been a big supporter of Dane (Cameron) for many years and we are grateful that they have continued that support by providing MSR with all of our hydration needs for the season.”

“We’re very excited to be partnering with Meyer Shank Racing for the 2021 race season,” said Dion Mortimer, Founder & Managing Director of 1907water. “Having had a connection to Dane (Cameron) over the years it’s been a pleasure working with him and joining him on his fantastic journey in Motorsports and we are excited to see what will be his further success with the Meyer Shank Racing family. We know how important hydration is especially for racing drivers, so we are glad to be the official water supplier for MSR this year.”

The IMSA WeatherTech season will start off with one of the most crucial races to stay hydrated with the Rolex 24 At Daytona which is set for January 30-31.
