Elkhart Lake, Wis. (24 August 2021) – After an eleven-week break between events, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship races back into action this weekend at Road America. Taylor Hagler has kept busy in the meantime and is eager for her return to action for the doubleheader race weekend in Wisconsin.
Hagler will be joined by teammate Dakota Dickerson in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo.
As the full-time driver in the Acura NSX, Hagler’s 2021 campaign in the Pro-Am category has yielded early success, with three podium appearances at Sonoma International Raceway and VIRginia International Raceway.
Hagler’s last round of World Challenge competition at VIR saw the Texas native make a hard-fought push in the closing laps to gain three positions and make a daring pass through the Esses to take the final step on the podium in third.
Hagler is well prepared for the weekend at Road America as she makes her fifth start at the high speed 4 mile Wisconsin course.
“While it has been a while since our last race with the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo, the team and I are ready for the weekend at Road America,” said Hagler. “We know we have the speed and ability to run at the front and we have the Acura platform that performs well on the long flowing corners that Road America has. Dakota (Dickerson) and I work great together and we have that first win of the season at the top of our list to accomplish.”
Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship begins Friday, August 27th with Race One on Saturday, August 28th at 2:15 PM ET and Race Two on Sunday, August 29th at 3:15 PM ET.
