Thrilling GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Weekend Ends with Chill Vibes

LAKEVILLE, CONN. (20 August 2023)- Following two days of high-octane action, the GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Festival partnered with FCP Euro to end the weekend on a much chiller note, celebrating a morning of cars, caffeine and comradery with the FCP Sunday Motoring Meet at Lime Rock Park.

With no designated marque for this show, the spirit of Circuit Legends’ inclusivity and diversity carried through to the Sunday Motoring Meet, offering fans more than 350 makes and models- from Italian Lancia to souped up trucks and motorcycles- to gaze at as they walked down the Sam Posey Straight.

“Lime Rock Park is a key setting component of making Sunday Motoring Meets so special,” said FCP Euro Event Director Nathan Brown. “The Sunday Motoring Meet series was kind of born out of our old cars and coffee that we used to host at our facility. As we outgrew that, we asked Lime Rock Park if we could start hosting the event there. We started planning and debuted our first season in 2022.

“We typically feature European makes parking on the track, but the idea is that we make it as inclusive as possible. While we might have Porches, Mercedes and BMW parking on track for a certain event, everyone else is welcome to come park in the paddock, hang out and have a good weekend at the track. That’s also sort of the GRIDLIFE ethos too. We just want to carry inclusivity through for this specific Sunday Motoring Meet. It’s a very low key way to celebrate car culture and experience the track in a way you never have.

“Outside of that, the reason we called it a motoring meet is because the roads to get here are fantastic,” continued Brown. “We have a wide range of participants who show up for this, and it’s just a beautiful way to spend a Sunday. It’s not a all-day thing. You can come, enjoy some cars, then leave in enough time to still mow your yard.”

The FCP Euro Sunday Motoring Meets are free for participants and fans. In 2023, FCP Euro will host a total of five events with the last event of the season scheduled during MiataCon weekend on October 29. In just its second year, the GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends festival doulbed its attendance and competitor participation, marks the third consecutive major event at Lime Rock Park to set an attendance record in 2023.
