Sepang, Malaysia (12 February 2020) – Ozz Negri returns to Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) action at the Sepang International Circuit for the third round of the 2019/2020 season this weekend as he looks to build momentum in the multi-continental championship.
Negri, alongside teammates Francesco Piovanetti and Alessandro Pierguidi, will take on the 5.543-km course on board the Spirit of Race No. 51 Ferrari 488 GT3. The trio return to Sepang after securing a podium finish in the 2018/2019 edition of the event. Bringing momentum with them, Negri hopes to add another podium finish to his ALMS resume after securing two top-five finishes in the first two rounds of the season in China and Australia.
New to the 2019/2020 season, ALMS will embrace night racing in Malaysia for the first time as the 4 Hours of Sepang will finish under the lights as the field will fight to the finish in the day to night event.
“We had a good weekend in Australia and now we want to build on that to fight for the championship,” said Negri. “We know this track and the Ferrari has been good here in the past so hopefully that is the case again this weekend. It will be interesting with the race ending at night-we’ve all done night races in our careers so it is nothing new for us but it should be a cool finish for the fans.”
The weekend kicks off with Free Practice on Friday, February 14th with the 4 Hours of Sepang on Saturday.
