First INDYCAR Front Row Start for Harvey at Indianapolis

#60: Jack Harvey, Meyer Shank Racing Honda

Indianapolis, Ind. (3 July 2020) – Jack Harvey will start on the front row in the No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda for Saturday’s INDYCAR GMR Grand Prix (NBC 12:00pm ET). The qualifying effort marks the first IndyCar front row start for Harvey and Meyer Shank Racing as the pair embark on their first full-season IndyCar campaign.

Coming into the weekend, Harvey’s confidence level was boosted after last year’s performance which saw him qualifying third and follow suit with a third place race finish.

Harvey’s history at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been nothing short of success as he scored pole and the race win in the 2015 Indy Lights event and also scored back-to-back wins in the 2014 edition of the Indy Lights Grand Prix of Indianapolis road course event.

The GMR Grand Prix qualifying run is Harvey’s 19th qualifying effort with Meyer Shank Racing.

“Mega effort by the entire Meyer Shank Racing crew to put the No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda on the front row for the GMR Grand Prix,” said Harvey. “We did well in practice this morning and we have been working really hard to be competitive and I felt that we were going to have good pace during qualifying. This is the best we have done as a team. The No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda has been great. The car has great straight line speed and we have the pace that we need to carry into the race. The car is very strong on both the black and red sets of Firestone tires. We are so optimistic to follow that into tomorrow and have another successful day.”

The INDYCAR GMR Grand Prix will be broadcast live on NBC on Saturday, July 4th at 12:00pm ET with IndyCar Radio coverage available on SiriusXM Ch. 205. Following the checkered flag in Indy, MSR co-owner Mike Shank will fly straight to Daytona International Speedway to call the IMSA race for the team’s two-car Acura NSX GT3 lineup which will air live on NBCSN at 6:00pm ET.
