Indianapolis, Ind. (13 October 2021) – The final stop on the 2021 SRO schedule brings Taylor Hagler to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for the Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS. Hagler returns to TC America competition in addition to her Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS duty.
Headlining the weekend of racing at the Racing Capital of the World, Hagler is slated for her first endurance event in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3. Hagler will be joined by both of her Acura teammates Jacob Abel and Dakota Dickerson for the eight-hour race.
Hagler’s 2021 SRO season has demonstrated consistency as well as her knack for passing. She has been integral in claiming three Pro-Am wins at Road America, Watkins Glen International, and Sebring International Raceway as well as four additional podium results. Those results also aided the Texan driver in capturing the runner-up position in the Pro-Am Driver’s Championship.
As the season comes to a close, Hagler looks to end on a high note by bringing the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsport Acura machine to victory circle.
“This season has been one of the most challenging but rewarding parts of my racing career,” said Hagler. “It all comes down to eight hours. The Indy 8 Hour will push me as a driver to keep focused for long stints and the team to stay consistent on each pit stop. The entire Racers Edge Motorsports, as well as my codrivers, have worked so hard day in and day out to give us the best chance possible.”
In addition to her Indianapolis 8 hour run, Hagler will make her return to TC America competition in a Hyundai Elantra N Line TCA. The weekend at IMS marks the debut of the new-for-2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line TCA in SRO competition and Hagler’s first venture behind the wheel of the Elantra.
TC America is a familiar place for Hagler as she made her professional racing debut with the series in 2019. Her breakthrough year with TC America saw her claim her first-ever podium results at Circuit of the Americas and Watkins Glen International.
Hagler will wheel the Hyundai Elantra N Line TCA in two races with TC America this weekend.
”I am honored and thrilled to be apart of Hyundai’s new venture with the SRO debut of the Hyundai Elantra N Line TCA,” said Hagler. “TC America is the reason I am where I am today so returning back to a series where I have so many good memories is an exciting opportunity. With two races, we have the opportunity to stand on the podium and bring a trophy home to Hyundai and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel!”
Hagler will have three chances to kiss the bricks at IMS with TC America on Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th before the marquee Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS on Sunday, October 17th. Qualifying and each race will be streamed live on Youtube.com/GTWorld.
