First Jr III Racing has successful first fan day

Mooresville, NC (26 May 2023) – Jr III (“Junior-Three”) Racing had its first fan day affair on Thursday May 25th opening the shop doors to a variety of different fans ahead of the CocaCola 600 Memorial Day race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The team had two Ligier LMP3 prototypes alongside an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and a 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL. The team brought out a new addition to the team’s BMW fleet with a 2002 BMW Schnitzer.

Jr III Racing had the shop doors open for the fans to look in while the crew was prepping for the next IMSA WeatherTech race at Watkins Glen International. The team also had hero cards, Jr III Racing branded microfiber towels, and stickers to give away to those fans who visited.

The team hosted fans from as far away as Canada that came to town for NASCAR’s CocaCola 600. The team also had many local sports car fans who didn’t know that there were sports car teams in the midst of NASCAR country and enjoyed looking at the Ligier LMP3.

“It was great to talk with everyone that came out today,” said Jr III Racing owner, Billy Glavin. “We had a lot of new faces stop by the shop that seemed to take a lot of interest in the different sports cars. We really appreciate everyone that took time to take a look at our shop.”

Jr III Racing will be back on track on June 10th for the World Racing League’s fourteen hour race at Daytona International Speedway debuting the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 program.
