World Endurance Championship retains Sunday Group Management

Return of WEC to Texas as 2024 Lone Star Le Mans set for Labor Day weekend

Austin, TX (23 August 2024)- Leading motorsports communications agency Sunday Group Management has been retained by the World Endurance Championship (WEC) to support the upcoming Lone Star Le Mans race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this Labor Day weekend.

Sunday Group will manage an outgoing media engagement campaign as well as develop media content to build the profile for the event, which marks the return of WEC to COTA for the first time since 2020.

Entering its third decade of service to its clients, Indianapolis-based Sunday Group Management specializes in developing marketing communications for a range of clients to make contributions to the growth of motorsport, with clients that include Ferrari North America, Lime Rock Park, Meyer Shank Racing, and Mazda’s Heritage Collection.

“There is a tremendous amount of excitement around the return of WEC to the Circuit of the Americas for the Lone Star Le Mans, and we are pleased to have partnered with Sunday Group Management to help develop the profile for this event,” said Andrew Craig, who is the North American representative of the FIA World Endurance Championship. “We’ve been encouraged by the response that the effort has already generated and are looking forward to hosting a lot of fans at the track on Labor Day weekend.”

The 2024 Lone Star Le Mans will feature five races during the weekend, and will open with practice sessions on Friday, August 30.

Qualifying and the exciting Hyperpole sessions are slated for Saturday, August 31. Sunday’s six-hour Lone Star Le Mans will go green at 1:00 PM local time. The event will also feature the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series as well as the Mustang Challenge series, as well as a Friday night concert with 30 Seconds to Mars (separate ticked required).
