Queen adds major fundraiser to Donington GB3 weekend

DONINGTON PARK (5 September 2024) – American driver Colin Queen will host a fundraising event in conjunction with this weekend’s races at Donington Park, in collaboration with GB3 and the British Heart Foundation.

Queen, a 19-year-old Floridian, drives for Fortec Motorsports in the penultimate weekend of the GB3 Championship Partnered by the BRDC season. Queen has scored six top-10 finishes this season, including a fourth at Zandvoort in July.

Queen has shown heart both on and off track. Born with a congenital heart defect, he has fought the odds to reach his goals, racing through GB4 to reach GB3 – the top step of single seaters that the UK has to offer. This weekend, he will use his platform to support the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to not only give back, but to show that anything is possible.

“This will be a decent-sized event, with a lot of good presence at the circuit,” Queen said. “It will include a raffle for a lucky fan who will get the thrill of waving the checkered flag for our race. I’m very much looking forward to the races but this is also something that I am very excited about and hopefully we can have some good success with both!”

The Donington Park outing marks the penultimate race event of the 2024 season, which has seen the young American working hard to adapt to the new categories, racing on many circuits for the first time in his career and rapidly gaining experience and pace at every turn.
