WIMNA Electrify Your Career in Motorsports Returns to COTA For Lone Star Le Mans

2nd year of engagement with FIA World Endurance Championship event

Austin, Texas- (10 June  2025)   As Le Mans visits Austin for the Lone Star Le Mans event this September, the event will once again will have a lot to offer both on and off the track as the Circuit of the Americas will play host to the Women in Motorsport North America (WIMNA) “Electrify Your Career in Motorsports” on September 7-8.

The event provides participants with a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn more about engineering, business, and motorsport strategy.

The event will feature a Career Workshop, garage and track tours, as well as multiple networking opportunities with team management, drivers, engineering, marketing and PR professionals in the sport. The two-day immersion will help participants grow their network as well as learn different stories about how other women got their start in racing.

“We are thrilled to return to Austin for the Lone Star Lemans event thanks to the continued collaboration  with Bosch as well as the support of WEC,” said Cindy Sisson, Executive Director, Women In Motorsports NA. “Last year the WIMNA/Bosch “Electrify your Career in Motorsports” was a  fantastic event, with an outstanding group of female and male speakers and team members joining us. The Women in WEC reception was also a great experience for everyone involved and we are looking forward to another great weekend in Austin this September!”

In it’s third year, Bosch is proud to continue their collaboration with WIMNA. The “Electrify your Career in Motorsports” program has provided priceless opportunities to over 200 students looking to understand what it takes to work in this highly dynamic field, and there is no better place than the global stage at COTA to continue building and educating this community.

“We see investing in the next generation as a vital part of the future of our sport,” said Jacob Bergenske, director of Bosch Motorsport North America. “Seeing where some of our alumni have already landed internships and jobs, is a testament to the passion that the attendees bring to each event, and we are looking forward to continuing this impact for the second consecutive year at the Lone Star Le Mans.”

The Lone Star Le Mans event, which marks the sixth race of the eight-event 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season, will also stage the “Women in WEC” event which will host a reception celebrating the growing role that females are playing in the globe-trotting Championship.
